Dynamic, strong growth organization is looking for a Cost Accountant. Responsibilities will include cost accounting analysis, compiling and reporting information as it pertains to the plant accounting & cost accounting functions for one of their divisions. This is a highly visible position that will interact with the plant's and with the division's strategic leadership. Reports to the Plant Controller.

The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing the plant's financial performance monthly and preparing financial statements of the plant, analysis of the cost accounting function, budget results analysis and developing recommendations on process improvements. You will identify risk and opportunities. Analyzes variances from plan. Provides senior management with cost forecast & projections and performance reporting.
o Analyze the plant's performance...by product, etc
o Analyze product costs, analyze variances in manufacturing metrics and results
o Responsible for monthly inventory on hand analysis
o Assists with budget process
o Creates Bills of Material from scratch ...develops and maintains internal controls
o Performs ad-hoc cost/financial analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making
o Summarize and report business results to leadership on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
o Maintain a system of Key Performance Indicators and drive business ownership for results
o Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial statements and systems
o Assists with the monthly fiscal closing process

Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
o An MBA would be a plus...manufacturing industry experience required.
o Prefer 3-7 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and plant accounting.
o Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities.
o Proven standard cost accounting & financial analysis skills
o Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
o ERP system experience preferred
o Proven analysis skills in plant accounting performance
