Dynamic global manufacturer has challenging opportunity for a Director of Human Resources and OD . This position is located in the northern suburbs area of the greater Atlanta area. This position supports the Corporate, Business Unit and Plant Leadership to achieve business targets by developing, promoting, implementing, managing and maintaining effective HR policies, programs, procedures, and practices. The Director of HR & OD is a Strategic Business Partner to the Leadership of the company, and may career-track to a other Corporate & Divisional positions. You will develop, direct, and oversee the implementation and interpretation of a full range of HR policies and activities.
This role is charged with overseeing the planning of all Plant, Business Unit & Corporate salaried positions, talent acquisition, succession planning, providing counsel and leadership to the Senior Leadership Team, and oversees compliance. It develops a positive Employee Relations climate in this organization that is at a large, domestic & global organization. This positions acts as a strategic consulting partner on the HR Management Team that works on the development of HR strategic long-range visionary goals and initiatives. The scope of responsibility includes a focus on Strategic use of talent assets, targeted talent acquisition, Employee Relations, communications, policies, programs and activities to support the business requirements, team development, internal and government compliance.
Major Responsibilities:
-Interpret, communicate the interpretation of, and ensure adherence to all provisions of company policies.
-Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance regarding employment issues including but not limited to succession planning, strategic planning, relationship development, and employee relations functions
-Answer, prepare for, attend and represent management where needed.
-Communications--including company newsletter, internal communications, and Company HR website.
-Oversee internal compliance training for salaried employees and Management Training & Development where needed.
-Responsible for compliance with government-mandated procedures.
-Administer talent management programs and processes to ensure that tools are being used to create value across the organization. Work closely with Upper Management, General Managers, and talent to encourage practical and meaningful application and utilization of tools and training.
-Mentor other human resources team members.
Requirements:
The successful Candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Human Resources Management), MBA or MS a plus, and 10 -20 years of HR Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment. Must have HR Strategic Planning experience. Must have large employee responsibilities (1000+ employee responsibility size). Must have demonstrated success in all functional HR areas. A PHR / SPHR designation would be a plus.
