Dynamic, strong growth global company is looking for a Logistics Financial Analyst with a focus on shipment of goods, logistics costs, multi-plant cost accounting analysis, compiling analysis and reporting information as it pertains to the shipments of products nationally for one of their divisions. This is a highly visible position that will interact with the corporate,plant, and with the division's strategic leadership.

The Logistics Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the division's Logistics costs by product and by category, preparing financial statements, analysis of the logistics cost accounting function, budget results analysis and developing recommendations on Logistics process improvements. You will identify risk and opportunities. Analyzes variances from plan. Provides senior management with Logistics cost forecast & projections and performance reporting.
o Analyze the division's profitability & make recommendations for improvement opportunities
o Analyze Logistics costs, analyze variances in manufacturing metrics and results
o Responsible for monthly inventory analysis - In-Transit and On Hand
o Assists with annual budget process
o Assists with quarterly profit plans...develops and maintains internal controls
o Performs ad-hoc cost/financial analysis to facilitate strategic and tactical decision-making
o Summarize and report business results to leadership on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
o Maintain a system of Key Performance Indicators and drive business ownership for results
o Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial statements and systems
o Assists with the monthly fiscal closing process
o Oversee the preparation and review of financial and operational analysis

Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
o MBA or CMA would be a plus...manufacturing industry experience required.
o At least 2-4 years of experience in Logistics Analysis, Cost Accounting, budgeting, Product Analysis, an/or d plant accounting
o Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities....experience with integrated manufacturing systems
o Proven Logistics Analysis and/or cost accounting & financial analysis skills
o Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
o Ability to build partnerships across functions
o Proven analysis skills in plant accounting performance
