Dynamic, strong growth global organization has an immediate need for a SR. Financial Reporting Accountant at corporate headquarters in the Western Houston area. This is for a global Energy company. This positions reports to the Director of Reporting. This position is part of the Strategic Finance Team. You will work on the company's financial reporting process, support SEC reporting (including footnotes and 10K & 10Qs), work with the budget process, support strategic internal reporting, and ad hoc analysis reporting. You will support the monthly close process, and support SOX process compliance. You need strong consolidation experience, general ledger experience, analysis experience. Any foreign currency experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities will include providing management with the strategic tools & reports to drive business results; drive excess expense and capital out of the business; manage the production of daily internal management reports, cost management strategies, division accounting functions, assist with the Acquisition integration, financial and variance analysis; internal financial reporting, and work with outside auditors. You will assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual internal reports & forecasts. Implementation of Cost Controls and Cost Reductions initiatives.

Requirements:
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance. An MBA, and/or a CPA are a plus. You should have 4-9 years of BIG 4, Public Accounting or relevant industry accounting & reporting experience. Should have exposure to SEC Reporting (10k, 10Q, footnotes). Any large company experience ( Fortune 500) is a plus. Any SAP experience is a plus. Oracle Financials experience is a plus. You should have strong general ledger experience, consolidations experience, financial reporting, forecasting, budget development and implementation experience. You should have solid influential communication skills, enjoy a high quality-of-life environment.
