Dynamic, industry-leader global company is looking for a SR. Manufacturing Financial Analyst with a focus on compiling, analysis, and reporting information as it pertains to the plant accounting & cost accounting functions for one of their business units. This is a highly visible position that will interact with the plant's and division's strategic leadership.
The SR. Manufacturing Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the division's financial performance monthly, preparing financial statements of the plant, budget results analysis and developing recommendations on process improvements. Identifies risk and opportunities. Analyzes variances from plan. Provides senior management with cost projections and performance reporting.
o Analyze the division's profitability...reconciles all balance sheet accounts monthly
o Analyze product costs, analyze variances in manufacturing metrics and results
o Responsible for monthly sales tax and annual corporate tax package
o Assists with annual budget process and the Capital Project planning process
o Assists with seasonal and annual profit plans...develops and maintains internal controls
o Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to facilitate strategic and tactical decision-making
o Summarize and report business results to leadership on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
o Maintain a system of Key Performance Indicators and drive business ownership for results
o Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial statements and systems
o Assists with the monthly, seasonal and annual fiscal closing process
o Oversee the preparation and review of financial and operational analysis
Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
o MBA a plus...manufacturing industry experience required...CPA is a plus.
o At least 3-7 years of experience in accounting, budgeting and financial analysis...experience could be from a BIG 4, Public Accounting firm, or from industry.
o Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities....experience with integrated manufacturing systems
o Proven cost accounting & financial analysis skills
o Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
o Ability to build partnerships across functions
o Proven plant accounting performance analysis skills.
