Dynamic, strong growth global Oil & Gas company has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant (6 months -2 years experience) at a Division headquarters in Houston! The Staff Accountant reports to the US Division Accounting Manager. This position is part of the Division Accounting Team. You will focus on generating monthly Journal entries, prepare inter-company reconciliations, bank reconciliations, account analysis, assist with compilation of audit requests, , conduct analysis of reporting data, assist with testing procedures for SOX compliance. You will work on the division's accounting functions, work with the budget process, and ad hoc analysis reporting. You will assist with the monthly close process, journal entry processing. You need consolidation experience, general ledger experience, & analysis experience.

Responsibilities will include providing management with the strategic tools & reports to drive business results; drive excess expense and capital out of the business; manage the production of daily internal management reports, cost management strategies, division accounting functions, assist with the Acquisition integration, financial and variance analysis; internal financial reporting, and work with outside auditors. You will assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, internal reports & forecasts. Implementation of Cost Controls and Cost Reductions initiatives.

Requirements:
*BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
*MBA would be a plus.
*CPA is a plus.
*You should have 6 months-2 years of BIG 4, Public Accounting firm or relevant industry experience
**Any JD Edwards or SAP experience is a plus
*You should have solid GL experience, reconciliations experience, budget experience
