Dynamic, hard goods global manufacturer has an immediate need for a Divisional Controller. This position provides financial analysis to the Strategic Executive Leadership Team and the rest of the Division Management Team. Provides financial reporting as needed. Will be responsible for influencing the Division through the creation and analysis of strategic and tactical planning and operating alternatives. Highly motivated and team oriented, this person will be capable of balancing the detail of complex data with the long-term objectives of the unit. Part of Strategic Group Leadership Team.
Work to include, but not limited to, economic assessments of opportunities, as well as explaining actual Division results versus plan and forecast and identifying trends. Identifies opportunities that need to be addressed and develops plan for corrective actions. Develops and leads Finance & Accounting Staff. This position will be an integral member of the Division Leadership Team and will aid in evaluating its future growth potential. Will support Capital Project process.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Analyzes monthly results vs. plan and forecast.
2. Analyzes progress against strategy and updates long-term projections.
3. Analyzes trends in business results and recommends actions to correct/improve.
4. Coordinates annual Budget & Forecast Plan development and provide all levels of financial support.
5. Analyzes financial impact of various tactics and strategies (i.e. pricing strategy, grade consolidations, etc.).
6. Provides financial analysis for various proposed projects (i.e. customer generated, internal, capital and NPR projects).
7. Responsible for the cash flow management process.
8. Using Six Sigma tools, drives business processes and results.
Requirements:
BS degree in Finance or Accounting. An MBA would be a plus. You should have 8 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in upstream or midstream natural gas operations. Experience should include preparing Capital Projects, including narrative and underlying economic analysis that require interaction with Business Managers, Market Development Managers, Operations Analysts, and R & D. Prepares material for major strategy updates. Budget & Forecast development experience.
