Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accounting Supervisor to become part of the team at our Soybean Processing Plant! Work for a successful corporation and utilize your prior experiences in a friendly, stable environment. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the accounting staff as well as coordinating all Accounting functions for the team.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly financial statements and product margin/operating expense analysis reports.
2. Observe mid-month and month-end physical inventories and prepare production workpapers.
3. Compiles annual budget information for management review.
4. Performs financial analysis and assists in developing accounting systems and controls.
5. Responsible for location accounts payable, bean settlements, invoicing, and HR & payroll function.
6. Preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
7. Review and track capital spending projects.
8. Supervise accounting staff of four and prepare annual employee evaluations.
9. Coordinate office equipment needs and office functions.





Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
2. Knowledge of the agricultural production industry preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail, planning, problem solving and decision making skills.
4. Strong written and oral communication skills.
5. Skill in using Office 2007 products, knowledge of Oracle general ledger system desired but not required.
6. Possesses a high degree of integrity and trust.
7. Possess ability to train, motivate, and evaluate performance of staff.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor -’s degree in Accounting and five years of accounting experience is required. Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
