About the Job
Our client is seeking a Staff or Senior Tax Accountant. Our client manages a proprietary trading portfolio of approximately $5 billion in specialized sectors, including commercial real estate debt, commercial mortgage backed securities and non-investment grade corporate debt. Our client operations also include investment banking and leasing.
This position will provide support for corporate tax department, tax planning and tax compliance projects. Responsibilities include federal and state corporate and partnership tax preparation, tax provision analysis, and work paper preparation for outside income tax preparers, management of responses to IRS and state exam information requests and other correspondence.
Job Requirements:
Candidates will have 1 to 5 years experience handling tax preparation. A bachelor degree in Accounting, CPA designation or eligibility and experience with preparing corporate income tax returns is required. Public firm experience is preferred. Must be proficient in Windows NT, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are expected
