My client, a recognized world leader with a unique approach to understanding customer insight and targeting marketing offers, is seeking a research professional who has an appreciation for how behavioral data can be enhanced with primary research. They are seeking someone with strong tactical and strategic skills, who is hands-on but can also present results to senior level mgmt. Experience in the loyalty, rewards or retail industries is a strong plus.
You will ::
- Designs custom primary research studies in their entirety, from project inception and design through preparation and the delivery of reports and presentations.
- Selects the appropriate marketing research methodology.
- Provides input and assists in the development of client proposals.
- Manages the primary research process. Design, oversee and approve key steps within the process itself (i.e. questionnaire design, moderator -’s guide, etc.).
- Where appropriate, selection and management of marketing research service providers.
- Integrates primary and secondary data sources to supplement business and consumer insights, since you are skilled at triangulating multiple data sources together.
- Distill insights from analyses. Offer business recommendations by identifying meaningful consumer indicators and trends.
- Ensures your work is disciplined and that you adhere to our quality control procedures.
- Develops primary research solutions and services to offer to our extensive client base.
- Presents your analysis and recommendations to our clients.
- Builds relationships with key internal and external clients.
To qualify for this exciting position, you must have:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree. (in Statistics, Psychology, or Marketing highly desired).
- A Masters degree is preferred
- Strong knowledge of primary marketing research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Familiar with a variety of data collection methods (i.e. phone, phone to web, e-mail, etc.).
- Working knowledge of database mining software (i.e. SAS, SPSS).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
- 10 + years experience in the primary marketing research field, including supplier side, or having managed the primary research function for a consumer package goods (CPG) company, consultancy or related industry, with a stable career history.
