Description:

Premier direct marketing and e-commerce retailer seeks Sr. Manager, Direct Marketing who is responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of marketing and circulation strategies that maximize promotion objectives, enhance customer lifetime value, and contribute toward profit and customer growth.

KEY FUNCTIONS
- Perform response analysis for promotions, analyze results of the mailing including tests, to evaluate the performance of marketing approaches.
- Build pro formas of promotions predicting circ, orders, and sales levels using the current marketing assumptions, the gains chart for the scored customers, and analysis of the other house names (i.e. inquiries, recipients).
- Ensure optimal selection of mailing strategies, including development, application, and analysis of regression scoring models to select house names for catalog and email circulation, lifetime value studies, product affinity, migration studies and customer profiling enhancing acquisition and retention.
- Plan, produce, and track the execution of the catalog and email circulation plans.
- Create and validate circ plans that give detailed specifications to internal and external vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor -’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Mathematics or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of marketing experience in consumer catalogs, with a focus on database marketing.
- Advanced skills in Excel are required, and statistical database software applications experience is preferred (SAS).
- Exceptional communication skills and skills in project management, planning and process improvement.

Key experiences: Customer file analysis/ database mining (SAS preferable, SQL helpful) across on-line, catalog and retail channels and all media sources, segmentation using both RFMP and regression modeling, merge purge expertise, circulation planning and execution, multi-brand background (preferable), exposure to attribution demand models for multi-sourced orders, test design/ execution/analysis, knowledge of lifetime value calculations and modeling, financial p&l reporting, and long range strategic planning.
