Must Have Skills: Must have 5 years min. exp. in the mortgage industry, and min. of 3 years in default, as foreclosures, HAMP, loss mitigation, loan modifications, forbearance, special process, collections, and proficient in MS word and MS excel
Education: High School or equivalent

Description:

A Claim Process Reviewer III will be responsible for, but not limited to, evaluating default mortgage servicing loans and files during the Claim Review process, to determine if all required loss mitigation activities were handled and documented in accordance with the requirements of HAMP, proprietary modification or other programs' requirements. Ensure that all required processes and procedures were followed; system of record notated, documentation available/imaged and appropriate borrower communication (verbal and written) was performed accordance to SD Directives/Internal Operating Procedures. Review files in their entirety, and provide a recommendation whether or not any errors, misrepresentations or other deficiencies that may be identified in the review resulted in financial injury to the borrower or the mortgagee.
Job Duties
- Review foreclosed loans, evaluate whether or not they were processed in accordance with HAMP, Proprietary Modification or other applicable program guidelines and requirements
- Review and compiles fully documented loan histories, imaged documents and information available from all sources to collectively determine if it validates the information used to make the home retention / loss mitigation decision
- Complete Claim Review according to clearly defined requirements; make a recommendation as to whether the Borrower / Customer has a valid claim
- All files will be subsequently reviewed and decisioned by an independent consultant
