Construction Field Operations Supervisor

Description:
Dynamic, global, strong-growth company. The Construction Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination of field operations in support of High Voltage construction projects. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that projects are executed with the highest degree of safety and quality while meeting the customer -’s schedule and the Company -’s financial goal.

Essential Job Duties:
- Attends project meetings with the customer.
- Confers with Engineers to investigate difficulties to analyze and provide technical recommendations.
- Identifies, analyzes, and recommends improvements to all operational procedures which impact all aspects operation at User site. This includes parts supply, logistics, factory response, and publications, etc.
- Execute Project Schedule as agreed to with the customer...
- Maintain and provide to Engineering, Operations required documents associated with the execution of the project such as JIT reports, etc..
- Perform daily Safety Audits on each crew & maintain records of results..
- Ensure that each system component is installed correctly by enforcing Engineer -’s Quality Control Program.
- Provides daily reports of crew activities to Operations and payroll data to administration.

Requirements:
Bachelor -’s degree with 5+ years construction knowledge in the installation of HPFF and XLPE transmission underground cable systems..

- Job Skills:
- Knowledge of technical fundamentals welding of pipe, pulling of cables, various conditions regarding rigging, installation of splices and terminations, and preparation and filling of fluid systems..
- Knowledge of MS project, knowledge of AIA documents -…ability to travel around North America as needed..
- Skill in planning, managing, and directing resources and managing projects. Skilled in Project Management including resource management, parts supply chain, logistics, etc.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Good understanding of elementary electrical theory as it pertains to electrical transmission systems.
