POSITION SUMMARY:
Must be familiar with Chillers, Cooling Towers and BAS systems. How to operate them in conjunction as a system, how to bypass components when not working, etc.
A valid EPA – 608 Universal Refrigeration Certification is REQUIRED. A Stationary Engineer’s license preferred.
Maintains and operates the building's mechanical, electrical and life-safety systems, and the building premises by performing preventive maintenance, repair, installation and renovation to varied equipment/structure to provide an efficient and safe work environment for employees/tenants.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (see Notes section for additional details)
Operates, maintains, and performs preventive maintenance, demand maintenance, installations, and renovations to the HVAC system, electrical systems, plumbing system, telecommunications wiring system, life-safety system and the building premises. When on shifts, has sole responsibility of the building systems.
Provides customer service by responding, troubleshooting and taking corrective action to resolve customer requests and complaints. Also provides guidance to consultants, contractors and vendors.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs to production and office equipment.
Communicates complete and concise information on the status of all systems and equipment to all Facilities team members, contractors, and appropriate customers, both written and orally.
Assists in maintaining inventory stock by acquiring the necessary parts, supplies, contracts, and equipment to complete work assignments.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Two-year college or vocational training required
Professional license or certificate preferred
Minimum 4-7 years of related work experience
Knowledge of complex and diversified procedures, practices, and policies
Knowledge of complex procedures and practices of a specific function
Proficiency with complex business machines (computers, etc.)
Knowledge of procedures and services of related areas (such as accounting or purchasing)
Ability to perform routine tasks
Specialized, technical skills
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the Central Plant and all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout.
Position requires a minimum of 4-7 years of hands-on experience with commercial/industrial HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems.
A two-year college degree or vocational training along with the ability to read drawings and systems schematics is required.
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Operational knowledge of the following is strongly preferred: Building Automation Systems (BAS), RHVAC, Pumps and Chillers and Cooling Towers.
