Must Have Skills: Engineering degree and 15+ years experience in oil and gas production operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized knowledge in at least one technical discipline (production, reservoir, petroleum, drilling or facilities engineering). Prior experience working in onshore operations. Thermal operations a plus.
Education: Bachelor's Degree

Description:

- Ensure that assets deliver on production and financial targets and forecasts.
- Develop schedules, budgets and cost estimates for all ongoing and special project work.
- Present budgets, expense reports, production reports to Executive Management Team.
- Integrate activities of production, engineering, maintenance, geoscience and support functions for the assets.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operations.
- Serve on evaluation teams for potential acquisitions in this geographic area.
- Manage employee performance including goal-setting, coaching, assessing and rewarding individuals or groups.
- Ensure adherence to all company, local, state and federal health, environment and safety regulations.
- Represent the company at industry meetings and associations, community or political events, meetings with potential
business partners.
- Review and present operating / financial results and/or explain why the goals have not been met.
- Establish key performance indicators for the assets and ensure that each team member understands them and performs against those measures.
- Communicate and reinforce company initiatives, e.g., implementing a new technology or software, change in reporting procedures, new HES initiatives, risk assessment and audit procedures.
- Participate on teams to evaluate potential prospects for acquisition.
- Lead internal teams to develop and implement new procedures and processes.


Qualifications:

- Understanding of applicable new technology.
- Demonstrated experience working with key vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts, holding vendors and contractors accountable, solving contractual problems.
- Prior experience with external stakeholders -– lease owners, partners, community groups, city/county/state/federal agencies
- Clearly defines, prioritizes/communicates direction for the field teams.
- Anticipates and satisfies information needs of all stakeholders, from lowest to highest levels; serves as communications -“bridge -” between remote assets and headquarters.
- Projects current and future resource needs, plans accordingly and uses resources effectively.
- Demonstrated understanding of the technical, operational and commercial aspects of the business.
- Prior experience managing oil & gas assets, exempt and nonexempt employees.
- Prior experience managing direct reports remotely
