Must Have Skills: M.S. – PhD preferable 15 years experience in oil and gas production operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized knowledge in reservoir engineering and/or geology Prior experience working in onshore operations
Education: Master's Degree

Description:

- Supervise reservoir engineering studies related to the development of oil and gas reserves
- Supervise reservoir engineers and geoscientists
- Provide technical guidance on complex reservoir engineering projects
- Develop new techniques and approaches to maximize production
- Develop schedules, budgets and cost estimates for all special projects
- Support company reserves team in presenting development projects and opportunities to third party reserves analysts
- Promote company, local, state and federal health, environment and safety regulations
- Develop and present budgets to senior management
- Review and present field development plans to senior management
- Present reservoir models and reports to senior management
- Evaluate potential prospects for acquisition
- Establish key performance measures
- Implement new technology or software
- Implement audit procedures
- Participate on internal teams to develop and implement new procedures and processes
- Write, and present reports at conferences
- Participate in technical conferences
- Demonstrated understanding of the technical, operational and commercial aspects of the business
- Prior experience managing oil & gas assets
- Experience working with key vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts
