Dynamic, global growth manufacturer...... Brand Names known Worldwide ......This is an immediate need for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager - fast-track, high profile position. You will identify, develop, implement and manage health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives with the North American operations. In this position you will be charged with taking the EH&S Program to the next level. You will be responsible for promoting a safe, incident free work environment and ensuring compliance with governmental regulatory agencies concerning air, water, and soil pollution. You will formulate policies and procedures, develop goals and metrics, monitor potential air, water and soil environmental releases, communicate hazards and recommend controls. You will participate in incident investigations, develop/coordinate and supervise training programs, and be responsible for environmental permitting (including Title V).

Critical Competencies:

* Advanced knowledge of Federal EHS laws and regulations and Company Policies
* Working knowledge of regulatory and Company reporting requirements
* Advanced knowledge of recognized management system standards (ISO, OHSAS, etc.)
* Working knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing and assembly operations
* Strong communication and organizational skills

Requirements:

BS Degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or Safety and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing plant. HS&E certification (CIH, CSP, CEM, etc) preferred. Union plant experience preferred. You should have prior experience implementing pro-active safety programs. Specific required skills include: contractor safety, confined space, electrical safety, machine guarding, waste management, and Title V air permitting.
