Dynamic, global growth company has an immediate need for a Field Sales / Service Manager. Company sells Service Contracts for Rotating Equipment Service such as Compressors, Motors, Pumps, and Flowserve equipment.
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, planning, directing, and controlling the on-site service business within a regional area. Quotes jobs and assists with invoicing content and business decisions affecting profitability.
This position identifies market opportunities from a mainly technical perspective and coordinates with the technical/engineering resources. This position will focus on the needs of the Customer in developing new solutions and also supports the sales & marketing effort. You will obtain assigned bookings on aftermarket projects and services, act as principal customer contact, will be responsible for selling, directing, analyzing, and evaluating Customer's needs for future sales growth. Salesmanship is the key!
Requirements:
1. BSME degree or experience equivalent (10+ years).
2. Knowledge of mechanical equipment design, operation, application, and maintenance within territory.
3. Knowledge of mechanical high speed rotating equipment design, operation, application, and maintenance.
4. Knowledge of steam turbines.
5. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
6. Experience in Field Sales, Services Rep, market or application experience.
7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner.
8. Ability to manage complex packages and contracts and investigate customer problems and issues, resolve conflicts, and sell solutions.
Essential Functions:
1. Develops and gives technical product presentations to Existing & Future Customers.
2. Maintains contact with and works effectively towards customer engineers/technical staff.
3. Recognizes and recommendations new technical opportunities and problem solving.
4. Provides technical product input into marketing materials.
5. Provides input into or leads technical clarifications with Customers, including responding to Requests For Information.
6. Providing input & direction into monthly prospect and forecast reports
7. Represent company at industry events.
8. Determining the organization's best strategic direction and the development of operational plans to accomplish it.
9. Solving commercial, warranty and equipment problems with sound judgment, consolidate information, develop solution and sell solution to customer.
