Dynamic, strong-growth, global manufacturer has immediate openings. The SR. Design Engineer will select and set standards for the use of products, will work with engineers and suppliers to set standards for all rotating equipment devices, will work with the suppliers to develop the software needed for the selection of the devices, and works with the Engineering Staff to support the development of new business and maintenance of current businesses. Participates as a team member on large projects and/or leads smaller scope engineering projects.

You should have high speed manufacturing experience with any experience in rotating equipment or motors product manufacturing preferred. You will prepare unit cost estimates and make recommendations on equipment needs. You will develop electrical standards to be used in the development process. You will develop standards and instruction manuals for various control systems that are used in the market. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving performance in assembly, test, and manufacturing areas. Develops performance standards, establish the departmental engineering and documentation standards, identifies the customer needs (internal or external) and contract requirements. Works with the Engineering Leadership to assist the development of engineering, product and platform design and performance parameters, technical documentation, and subcontractor specifications. You will evaluate and recommend new equipment for all phases of processing.

You must be able to identify project tasks, develop plans and then implement plans. You should have experience working in cross-functional teams environment. Looking for Lean/Six Sigma problem solving skills.

Requirements:
BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or a BS degree in Business with rotating equipment or motors manufacturing experience. You should have 5+ years experience in design engineering of rotating equipment or motors products. You should have knowledge of manufacturing & distribution capabilities, knowledge of electrical standards and safety standards, tooling, project costing methods, and computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products & CAD software. You should have project management or technical leadership experience.
