Dynamic, strong growth global organization...... Brand Names known Worldwide ......This is an immediate need for a Construction Environmental, Health and Safety position. You will identify, develop, implement and manage health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives with the construction site operations. In this position you will be charged with taking the EH&S Program to the next level. You will be responsible for promoting a safe, incident free work environment and ensuring compliance with governmental regulatory agencies concerning electrical installations and trenching. You will formulate policies and procedures, develop goals and metrics, monitor potential environmental releases, communicate hazards and recommend controls. You will participate in incident investigations, develop/coordinate and supervise training programs, and be responsible for environmental permitting (including Title V).
You will improve and sustain the EH&S management system at the installation sites. You will establish strategies and programs to proactively identify EH&S risks and hazards and develop plans to eliminate or control those risks.
Critical Competencies:
* Advanced knowledge of Federal EHS laws and regulations, OSHA 1926 regulations, and Company Policies
* Working knowledge of regulatory and Company reporting requirements
* Working knowledge of recognized management system standards (ISO, OHSAS, etc.)
* Working knowledge of industrial construction industry, electrical installations, and trenching.
* Knowledgeable of EPA regulations for hazardous materials, spill prevention, waste management.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Safety and a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on EHS experience in industrial construction industry - specifically with electrical installations, confined space and trenching. Certifications (CIH, CPR, CEM, etc) is a plus. You should have prior experience implementing pro-active safety programs. The ability to travel to installation sites.
You should have a proven track record in leading culture change and improving safety performance. Specific required skills include: electrical installations, contractor safety, confined space, electrical safety, waste management.
