Dynamic, global growth manufacturer....This is an immediate need for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager - fast-track, high profile position. You will identify, develop, implement and manage health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives with the plant operations. In this position you will be charged with taking the EH&S Program to the next level. You will be responsible for promoting a safe, incident free work environment and ensuring compliance with governmental regulatory agencies concerning air, water, and soil pollution. You will formulate policies and procedures, develop goals and metrics, monitor potential air, water and soil environmental releases, communicate hazards and recommend controls. You will participate in incident investigations, develop/coordinate and supervise training programs, and be responsible for environmental permitting (including Title V).
You will improve and sustain the EH&S management system at the facility. You will establish strategies and programs to proactively identify EH&S risks and hazards and develop plans to eliminate or control those risks.
Critical Competencies:
* Advanced knowledge of Federal EHS laws and regulations and Company Policies
* Working knowledge of regulatory and Company reporting requirements
* Working knowledge of recognized management system standards (ISO, OHSAS, etc.)
* Working knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing and assembly operations
* Strong communication and organizational skills
Requirements:
BS Degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or Safety and a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing plant. HS&E certification (CIH, CSP, CEM, etc) is a plus. You should have prior experience implementing pro-active safety programs. You should have a proven track record in leading culture change and improving safety performance. Specific required skills include: contractor safety, confined space, electrical safety, machine guarding, wastewater treatment, waste management, and Title V air permitting. Base salary range of $75-90k. Strong, Fortune 500 Benefit and Retirement Programs. Relocation package available.
