Dynamic, strong-growth, global manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Regional Quality Manager. This position will serve as a driver for the quality function for the Region. You will establish, maintain and optimize an effective quality system. Enhance and improve the Region's products and services through the implementation of ISO 9000, problem solving tools, prevention methods, and continual improvement techniques. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Assurance methods to ensure product exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor information associated with the quality of a project, make process improvements and evaluate corrective actions taken.
2. Address any quality issues associated within a project and communicate to manufacturing departments
3. Communicates customer regulatory and organizational requirements to assure contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
4. Works with Region's leadership to insure that individuals performing functions that affect quality are properly trained.
5. Plans, develops and implements process controls to reduce customer rejects.
6. Prepare any documentation associated with project launch and develop quality targets.
7. Assesses supplier capabilities and monitors supplier quality.
8. Collaborates with Engineering & Purchasing on new product development..
9. Coordinate functional trials and Part Submission approval for initial part approval and design changes.
Develops performance standards, establish the departmental engineering and documentation standards, identifies the customer needs (internal or external) and contract requirements. Works with the Engineering Leadership to assist the development of engineering, product and platform design and performance parameters, technical documentation, and subcontractor specifications.
You must be able to identify project tasks, develop plans and then implement plans. You should have experience working in cross-functional teams environment. Looking for Lean/Six Sigma problem solving skills.
Requirements:
BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or a BS degree in Business with Tier 1 experience. You should have 5+ years experience in Quality. You should have knowledge of manufacturing & distribution capabilities, knowledge of integrated computer programs and safety standards, knowledge of ISO 9000, Six Sigma, and tooling. Any project management or technical leadership experience is a plus.
