Dynamic, global strong growth manufacturer has an immediate need for a Regional Sales Manager based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position identifies market opportunities and coordinates with the technical/engineering resources. This position will focus on the needs of the Customer in developing new solutions and also supports the sales & marketing effort. You will be responsible for selling, directing, analyzing, and evaluating Customer's needs for future sales growth. Technical knowledge & Salesmanship is the key! Responsible for growing the existing region's revenue.

Essential Functions:
1. You, with the Region's Application Engineer, will develop and give technical product presentations to Customers.
2. Maintains contact with and works effectively towards customer engineers/technical staff.
3. Recognizes and recommendations new technical opportunities.
4. Provides technical product input into sales & marketing materials.
5. Provides input into or leads technical clarifications with Customers, including responding to "Requests For Information".
6. Providing input & direction into monthly prospect and forecast reports
7. Represent company at industry events.

Requirements:
1. BS degree in Engineering or Business. . ..7+ years of relevant experience selling to the Utilities industry.
2. Looking for strong "closing the deal" regional sales experience. Knowledge of product operation, application, and maintenance would be a plus.
3. Prefer knowledge of power cables and/or electrical distribution products including transformers, design, operation, application, and maintenance.
4. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
5. Experience in Region Sales & Marketing, Field Sales, Sales Engineer, Product Specialist, Market or Application experience.
6. Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner.
7. Tenacious in building new business, securing customer loyalty and forging strong relationships with business partners.
8. Ability to travel about 50%.
