Dynamic, strong-growth, global manufacturer has an immediate opening for a SR. Product Engineer (HVAC or Refrigeration products). In this position you will lead product engineering work for existing product line. you will work on quality and productivity improvements, will mentor Designers and Engineering Co-Op students on the product line, develop and design changes needed for customer specials, and works with the Engineering Staff to support the development of new business and maintenance or improvements of current processes and businesses. Participates as a team member on large projects and/or leads smaller scope engineering projects.
You should have high speed manufacturing experience with design experience in HVAC or Refrigeration products manufacturing. You will prepare unit cost estimates and make recommendations on equipment needs. You should have knowledge of sheet metal design. . You will be responsible for maintaining and improving performance in assembly, test, and manufacturing areas. Develops performance standards, establish the departmental engineering and documentation standards, identifies the customer needs (internal or external) and contract requirements. Works with the Engineering Leadership to assist the development of engineering, product and platform design and performance parameters, technical documentation.
You must be able to identify project tasks, develop plans and then implement plans. Looking for Lean/Six Sigma problem solving skills.
Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering or a BS degree in Business with HVAC or Refrigeration manufacturing experience. You should have 3+ years experience in product engineering of HVAC or Refrigeration products. You should have knowledge of manufacturing & distribution capabilities, knowledge of safety standards, tooling, project costing methods, and computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products & CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). You should have project management or technical leadership experience.
