Position : Project Development Manager
Reports to: General Manager - Planning and Project Development
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Chemical engineering.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in petrochemical industry-Project Development & Planning or Financial Analysis role/s.
- Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis and financial modelling.
- Good working knowledge of project cost estimation is desirable.
- Working knowledge of investment evaluation techniques and analysis is required
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in formulating and developing future Company project development goals and objectives.
- Investigate, analyze and develop strategic corporate alliances that will contribute and enhance the Company’s strategic thinking and planning for project development and marketing of future products.
- Negotiate and finalize various agreements including Joint Venture, Technology Licensing and other related Services Agreements.
- Prepare feasibility studies to select professional consultants.
- Prepare feasibility studies to define the scope and cost estimates of petrochemical projects of interest to the company.
- Produce the business case for projects and motivate projects to executive management.
- Utilize project management methodologies, system and tools as defined by Company.
- Review all proposed contractor project controls methods, procedures, plans and submissions to ensure that these support project time and cost targets, and are in accordance with contract requirements.
- Collection of information relating to technical, commercial, industry and corporate data that will contribute to the company's strategic thinking and planning.
- Reviews various agreements in the formation of joint venture companies and assists the legal advisor / executive management in protecting the company’s business interests while preparing and finalizing contracts.
- Prepares necessary techno-commercial presentations for discussions with licensors, commercial lenders and such other appropriate agencies.
