Position Summary:

MarkMonitor is looking for a talented, multi-tasking leader to work in a fun and innovative team environment designing and developing cutting edge applications. This candidate will join a great team in developing and delivering high-availability horizontally-scaled, server-side applications. The candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment, have a “can-do” attitude, work well in a cross-functional environment with minimal supervision, and mentor others. He/she should be a self-starter, quick learner and a great team player.
Minimum Requirements:

7+ years of experience working with horizontally scaled distributed server-side applications
4+ years as a senior engineer or other leadership role
Proven expertise in architecting and developing high availability, scalable, performance-oriented multi-tier enterprise applications
Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems.
Expert in Java threading and concurrency with efficiently utilization database, network and file system resources
Strong experience in database interaction and O/R mappings with emphasis on applications designed for high volume transactions
Very strong hands-on technical experience with JAVA / J2EE, Rich Internet Applications, SOA, enterprise service bus, SOAP, XML, n-tier application architectures
Expert understanding and the ability to apply software design and testing methodologies
Strong SQL knowledge on SQL server
Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently
Possess exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Skills: Java SE, J2EE, Threading, Concurrency, Tomcat, JBoss, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Web Services/REST, SQL Server, mysql

Preferred Skills: Hadoop and other Open Source technologies
