Dynamic global manufacturer has challenging opportunity for a Director of Human Resources. This position supports the Corporate Leadership to achieve business targets by developing, promoting, implementing, managing and maintaining effective HR policies, programs, procedures, and practices. The Director of Human Resources is a Strategic Business Partner to the Leadership of the company.
This position develops a positive Employee Relations climate in this organization that has Non-Union site locations. The scope of responsibility includes heavy focus on Employee Relations, Communications, policies, programs and activities to support the business requirements, team development, internal and government compliance.
Major Responsibilities:
-Interpret, communicates the interpretation of, and ensure adherence to all provisions of company policies in a global environment.
-Provide day-to-day and long-term leadership and guidance regarding employment issues -– Drive global HR process integration while identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Represent company management during arbitration and issue resolutions.
-Communications--including company newsletters, internal & external communications, and Company HR website.
-Oversee internal compliance training for both hourly and salaried employees -– domestically & globally.
-Responsible for compliance with government-mandated procedures (NLRB, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.)
-Direct & Administer talent management programs and processes to ensure that tools are being used to create value across the organization. Work closely with managers and employees to encourage practical and meaningful application and utilization of tools and training.
-Oversee OD, Compensation, and Benefits programs and mentor other human resources team members

Requirements:
The successful Candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Human Resources Management), MBA or MS a plus, and 10-20 years of Human Resources experience in a Manufacturing environment. Must have demonstrated success in all functional HR areas (Generalist) . A PHR / SPHR designation would be a plus.
