Dynamic global manufacturer has challenging opportunity for a Plant Human Resources Specialist. This position supports the Division Leadership and Plant Leadership to achieve business targets by developing, promoting, implementing, managing and maintaining effective HR policies, programs, procedures, and practices. The Plant HR Specialist is a Strategic Business Partner to the Leadership of the company, and may career-track to a other Divisional HR positions.
This role is charged with "wall to wall" responsibilities for employee relations & safety. It develops a positive Employee Relations climate in this Non-Union plant. The scope of responsibility includes Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Communications, Issue Resolution, policies, programs and activities to support the business requirements, team development, internal and government compliance. Will function as a strategic HR Generalist in a Plant environment. Major Responsibilities:
-Interpret, communicate the interpretation of, and ensure adherence to all provisions of company policies
-Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance regarding employment issues including but not limited to corrective action, grievance resolution and other labor/employee relations functions
-Answer grievances/complaints and prepare for, attend and represent management during arbitration and issue resolution.
-Communications--including company newsletter, internal communications, and Company HR website.
-Conduct internal compliance training for both hourly and salaried employees.
-Responsible for compliance with government-mandated procedures (NLRB, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.)
-Administer talent management programs and processes to ensure that tools are being used to create value across the organization. Work closely with managers and employees to encourage practical and meaningful application and utilization of tools and training.
-Mentor other human resources team members .
Requirements:
The successful Candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Human Resources Management), MBA or MS a plus, and 2+ years HR Generalist experience in a Manufacturing Plant environment. Must have demonstrated success in all functional HR areas. A PHR / SPHR designation would be a plus as would a CSP certification..
