Description:

Dynamic Global Manufacturing Company located in the general Nashville, TN area, has a Buyer opportunity available for an results oriented person. This is for a Tier 1 automotive parts plant. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Sourcing Strategy and Savings Goals, working with the Bidding Process for steel domestically & globally, maintaining Supplier Relationships, and being the driving influence to continually improve the Company's cost position. Duties include cost plan development and implementation, supply base development, performance tracking and reporting. You will utilize domestic & global sourcing techniques to achieve the best price, delivery, and quality. You will work with the Supplier consolidation and standardization initiative.

You will support current production and new product development & launch to ensure a continuous flow of all parts and materials.

REQUIREMEnTS:
The successful Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (MBA desired), a strong Technical aptitude, 5-10 years of experience purchasing Steel, Rubber, Plastics, and/or Services with a focus for multi-manufacturing sites, and an ability to plan and organize multiple activities concurrently. Experience with stamping, injection molding, or metal processing preferred. Automotive buying experience preferred. CPM Certification would be a plus.
