Dynamic global manufacturing company has a high visibility Purchasing Manager opportunity available for an innovative, results oriented person. This is in a Houston, Texas location. This position will take charge of the Purchasing function for this division. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Sourcing Strategy and Savings Goals, managing the Bidding Process globally, managing Supplier Relationships, and being the driving influence to continually improve the Company's cost position.

Duties include Supplier management, Cost Plan development and implementation, supply base development, performance tracking and reporting. You will utilize domestic & global sourcing techniques to achieve the best price, delivery, and quality. You will lead the Supplier consolidation and standardization initiative.

Requirements:
The successful Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (MBA desired), a strong Technical aptitude, 8-12 years of experience purchasing Goods and Services with a domestic & global focus for multi-manufacturing sites, and an ability to plan and organize multiple activities concurrently.
