Dynamic global Fortune 500 company has a high visibility SR. Buyer's opportunity available for an innovative, results oriented person. This is in a Houston, Texas location. This position will ensure assigned suppliers/spend categories are effectively sourced in order to deliver optimal value. This position is a senior level procurement role and you must have extensive Indirect sourcing skills (with a focus on HR, Marketing, and Facilities commodities). You will develop long-term strategies for Global Procurement. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Sourcing Strategy and Savings Goals, managing the Bidding Process globally, managing Supplier Relationships, and being the driving influence to continually improve the Company's cost position.

Duties include Supplier management, Cost Plan development and implementation, supply base development, performance tracking and reporting. You will utilize domestic & global sourcing techniques to achieve the best price, delivery, and quality. You will lead the Supplier consolidation and standardization initiative.

Requirements:
The successful Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management..... an MBA is preferred....... 5-8 years of experience purchasing Goods and Services with a domestic & global focus for multiple sites, and an ability to plan and organize multiple activities concurrently. CPM Certification is a plus. You should have a proven track record of applying Supply Chain principals and concepts to achieve optimal results. You should have a working knowledge of purchasing, vendor management, demand management, and fulfillment processes.
