Dynamic, global growth Fortune 500 level manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at their Division Headquarters in the Dalton, GA area. Company is in expansion due to product line additions and growth of existing product lines business. This position is responsible for developing and implementing plans for major Capital Improvements and maintenance Projects in the manufacturing process. It provides Project Management in the areas of operating budgets, control of project's performance against goals regarding capacity, efficiency, quality and safety. You will act as a resource for designing and installation of new/enhanced systems.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Corporate Director of Manufacturing. Ensures manufacturing project engineering designs comply with codes and standards. Provides technical engineering verifications for Steam, Natural Gas, Potable Water, Liquid Propane, Chilled Water and Compressed Air.
Works closely with plant safety and quality teams to proactively identify issues, develop procedures, and give the appropriate training and equipment to employees.
The position requires proven management success, expertise in staff development, statistical managerial techniques, and troubleshooting equipment, maintenance knowledge, processes on the manufacturing lines. You should enjoy a daily challenge of efficient production; have conflict resolution skills, and success at improving productivity and problem solving. This position is part of the Strategic Plant Leadership Team.
Requirements:
We are looking for a BS degree in Engineering or in Business with 10+ years of manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and leadership/management experience. Any textiles experience would be a plus. You should have knowledge of budgeting and reporting production performance.
