Dynamic, strong-growth, global manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Plant Manager. We will consider existing Plant Managers, or strong Production Managers ready for the next step in their career! This position will support and create processes and activities within the functional area, and works with the Engineering Staff to support the development of new business and maintenance of current businesses. Responsible for all manufacturing and logistics related activities for assigned plant. Manages all resources related to manpower, assets, and capabilities. Assesses plant performance against Operating Plans & Standards to drive efficiencies. Ensures plant performance meets divisional goals and meets or exceeds customer requirements.
You should have high speed manufacturing experience with any experience in textiles manufacturing a plus. You are accountable for justification and cost control of capital expenditures. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving process performance in assembly, test, and manufacturing areas. Develops performance standards, establish the departmental engineering and documentation standards, identifies the customer needs (internal or external) and contract requirements. Develops project cost estimates, projected schedules, and resource requirements, and manages them throughout the project. Works with the Engineering Leadership to assist the development of engineering, product and platform design and performance parameters, technical documentation, and subcontractor specifications. You will evaluate and recommend new equipment for all phases of processing.
You must be able to identify project tasks, develop plans and then implement plans. You should have experience working in cross-functional team environment. Looking for Lean/Six Sigma problem solving skills. You will actively participate on short and long-term strategic planning. You will proactively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, review and conduct analysis on technology trends, operating and tactical plans to improve efficiency, product quality and management of costs.
As Plant Manager, you will ensure the plant demonstrates continuous improvement in meeting customer requirements and World Class standards, as well as in maintaining plant operational efficiency through effective labor utilization, scrap reduction, machine design improvement, and material utilization.
Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering or a BS degree in Business with textiles manufacturing experience. You should have 6+ years of leadership/management experience in a large engineering environment. You should have knowledge of manufacturing & distribution capabilities, process improvements, determine root cause, ISO 9000 experience, tooling, project costing methods, assembly procedures, bill of material structure, and computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Project. You should have the ability to develop resource models for projects. You should have project management or technical leadership experience. You should have strategic planning experience.
