Dynamic global manufacturing company has a high visibility SR. Purchasing Manager opportunity available for an innovative, results oriented person. This position is the global supply market expert for the company in the Raw Material category and the raw material spend will exceed $100 Million. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Global Sourcing Strategy and Savings Goals, managing the Bidding Process globally, managing Supplier Relationships, and being the driving influence to continually improve the Company's cost position. You will support multiple products, chemicals manufacturing operations in Houston & other US sites. You will have the primary responsibility for all raw materials negotiations and settlement of price.

Responsibilities:
You will develop, implement and evaluate the company's raw material procurement strategies and processes. You will furnish lead time advice for materials planners. You will direct the activities of associates engaged in the purchase of raw materials and other products and services for the company. You will establish metrics and standards to ensure that purchased materials support quality, cost, inventory and service levels. You will oversee cradle to grave process from intent to purchase, new supplier on-boarding, performance, and supplier exit.

Duties include Supplier management, Cost Plan development and implementation, supply base development, performance tracking and reporting. You will utilize domestic & global sourcing techniques to achieve the best price, delivery, and quality. You will lead the Supplier consolidation and standardization initiative. This is a team approach with team members from Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Product Management.

Requirements:
The successful Candidate will have a minimum of a BSChemE is a plus, and a strong Technical aptitude. You should have 10+ years of experience purchasing Goods and Services in a high volume manufacturing environment. You should have experience with purchasing for domestic manufacturing sites in a world class environment, and an ability to plan and organize multiple activities concurrently. You should have responsibility for an Annual Spend of $75 million+. Looking for CHEMICAL PURCHASING experience preferred. Must have raw materials sourcing experience. You should have strong SAP skills. A CPM (or NAPM) Certification is a plus. The company offers Base Salary of $95-120k opportunity , relocation assistance, and strong career growth potential.
