Overview: Senior Operations Director:


This is an excellent career opportunity for a qualified candidate seeking an instrumental role in senior management. Provide strategic direction to the soy, corn, refining and biofuels processing functions. Plan, direct and coordinate soy, corn, refining and biofuels processing through collaboration with Operations Directors. Develop and maintain relationships between operations and executive management.



Responsibilities:
Effectively directs and develops operations staff, including career goals and objectives, coaching, training and performance reviews.
Establishes, reviews, analyzes and implements capital plans and operating budgets ensuring effective management and use of operational personnel, property, plant and equipment.
Promotes and implements cost effective process improvements through research, review of current processes and troubleshooting various aspects of a process. Oversees quality control of corn, soy, refining and biofuels processes.
Assists in supervising daily departmental activities through training employees, determining methods for employee work, scheduling and conducting employee personnel appraisals.
Performs cost analysis for needed and expended labor, energy and equipment.
Develops and maintains operating relationships between internal groups and external organizations.
Communicates with executive management regarding short and long term division plans and objectives, reviewing all operations quality results and operating performance.
Work with each Director of Operations to meet desired operating efficiencies, operating expenses and sustaining production capacities.



Qualifications:
Knowledge of federal, state and regional labor law regulations.
Knowledge of management, marketing, finance and human resource functions.
Knowledge of industry specific technology and developing products.
Knowledge of executive management techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training of personnel.
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower modeling, leadership techniques and production methods.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis of financial data.
Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, costs and techniques for maximizingthe manufacture and distribution of goods.
The Senior Director of Operations will have a minimum of 10 years experience in Soy procesing and/or refining. A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent is also required. Experience developing capital projects and strong project management skills are a must.
