SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of wholesaler's distribution warehouse, sales and fleet in Texas in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Manages personnel & provides them with guidance & support to enable them to accomplish their duties. Maintains fiscal responsibility & compliance with budgetary requirements. Follows housekeeping, hygiene, sanitation, pest control, safety practices. Ensures that all activities are followed based on procedures, instructions, etc., as well as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, & ISO 14001 requirements, and FDA, GMP, OSHA, & EPA regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Levels of Authority and Decision Making are indicated as follows: (1) May take action independently; (2) May take action but must advise supervisor and other respective stakeholders as needed; (3) Must receive approval/authorization before taking action.

1. Manages assigned personnel. (1)
2. Manages and enforces all procedures, instructions, etc., as well as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, & ISO 14001, FDA, GMP, EPA, etc. practices for all assigned personnel. (1)
3. Reports any OSHA incidents to the Human Resources function as soon as possible, and takes appropriate action. (1)
4. Conducts, at a minimum of every 3 months, meetings with all assigned personnel. (1)
5. Communicates well and, in a timely fashion, as needed with his/her subordinates, and immediate supervisor. (1)
6. Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales, record control, and Corporate Office to ensure availability of merchandise and to provide service to the customer. (2)
7. Periodically supervises sales representatives’ performance with trade clients, visiting them in order to maintain positive relations and competitive intelligence. (1)
8. Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory. (3)
9. Oversees credit accounts, returned checks and collections. (2)
10. Maintains fleet and building. (2)
11. Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders for delivery. (1)
12. Verifies and accepts individual transfers of all merchandise from Miami headquarters. (1)
13. Accounts for variances in deposit receipts and inventory. (2)
14. Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.
15. Assists in receiving trucks, loading vans, data entry and light maintenance. (1)
16. Maintains backup on computers. (1)

Supervises 7 to 10 employees directly.

Quality Management System (QMS) i.e. Manual, Procedures, Instructions, Forms, and Records demonstrating familiarity with the Quality Policy, Organizational Charts, and Process Charts.
1. The following international standards: ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, & ISO 14001, etc.
2. Legal and regulatory federal, state, county, and city requirements i.e. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA),Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), etc.
3. Rules set forth in the Employee Handbook, and Job Description.
4. Good Manufacturing Practices – current- (cGMPs) – requirements.
5. Good housekeeping, hygiene, sanitation, and pest control practices.
6. All safety practices and assures they request to be properly trained.
7. Reporting any potentially unsafe working conditions immediately.
8. Reporting any accidents to the Human Resources function promptly, or if unable to do so, have their representative do so, and otherwise take appropriate action.
9. Not making any discriminatory remarks.
10. Taking appropriate action regarding notification of Human Resources with respect to sexual harassment.
11. Affirmative Action Plan and respects Diversity.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from college or technical school; and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read, write and speak in the English language. Ability to read, to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers, and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to use a calculator. Ability to understand and use American Standard and Metric measurements.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills
Ability to use record-keeping software and general computer literacy.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Membership of Sales and Marketing Sales Professional Association is preferred. Certified Sales Executive (CSE) is not mandatory but strongly suggested.

Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to work measuring calipers, rulers, calculators, etc.
