Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Logistics, North America, the incumbent in this role will provide direction, leadership, vision and technical advice for Responsible Care® and Quality management for Marketing & Logistics in North America. The incumbent will be responsible for Product Stewardship throughout the North American region which includes: customer, carrier and distributor product hazard awareness; route risk assessments; and customer and logistics service provider assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Responsible Care and Quality initiatives are coordinated and in compliance with the Company’s overall Corporate objectives, applicable Codes of Practice for regional Chemical Industry Associations, and Quality standards.
- Responsible for overseeing the Responsible Care Management System, and ensuring that it is implemented and maintained and is meeting both internal and external requirements.
- Develop and execute the annual NAML Responsible Care plan
- Conduct and lead Responsible Care and Quality internal audits.
- Monitor and report on Responsible Care and Quality activities to Management.
- Provide assistance in responding to customer inquiries; coordinate physical assessments as necessary for customers, suppliers, terminals, surveyors and carriers; and provide external RC training.
- Manage training on Responsible Care awareness and related issues for employees in Dallas.
- Contribute to global Responsible Care efforts through active participation on the Global Marketing & Logistics Responsible Care Team
- Serve as primary contact for regulatory authorities and industry associations as relates to Responsible Care in the US and Canada.
- Ensure all supply chain and customer incidents are documented, investigated and corrective actions are developed, implemented and followed up.
- Present RC & Methanol safety seminars to customers, service providers and end-users.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Safety Engineering preferred; or other technically related discipline or practical experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years work experience.
- Operational and /or Marketing experience in the petrochemical industry preferable.
- Experience with managing HSE programs in a bulk chemical or petrochemical manufacturing or storage facility is a plus.
- Deep conviction regarding the Responsible Care ethic and its role and application in our business.
- Project and personnel management experience and skills are necessary for the effective completion of goals.
- Qualification in auditing techniques for both Responsible Care and Quality standard are essential in order to carry out the duties of the position.
- Knowledge of railcar maintenance and railcar logistics a plus.
