About the Position:

The Software Engineer will work to improve the user experience through consistent and easy to use interfaces. In this role, you will work closely with customers, product management and the engineering team to design and implement new features and changes to the code. A major area of responsibility with be all the user interfaces for our core products. This position is a key part of the engineering organization, so candidates must be able to communicate clearly through the entire process, from design through coding and testing all the way to final delivery.



Responsibilities:

* Create high quality code to be used in the core products

* Create new interfaces at both the robot level and also higher level for control and reporting applications

* Create and be accountable for user workflows, UI prototypes, and guidelines for user interfaces

* Plan and perform usability research including usability studies and prototype testing

* Be an integral part of the engineering team to help build the next generation of warehouse robots



Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related discipline

* Great communication skills

* Good knowledge of C++

* Strong coding ability in high level languages (e.g. Python, Ruby)

* 1-2 years of UI design experience



Nice to have:

* Embedded Linux experience
