A market leading company that is one of the oldest and largest Distributors of IT and Technology products in the UK Reseller market.
They have grown their Business significantly based upon professional customer service, consistency of execution and integrity. They service a UK-wide customer base from state of the art facilities in both Lancashire & Hampshire. Their excellent logistics systems ensure same-day or next-day delivery services and their Customer Service team pride themselves on resolving the rare issues that arise. Having established excellent relationships with vendors they now require an exceptional marketer to drive forward web / channel marketing strategy.
You will head up and take ownership across all of the company’s marketing activity whilst managing a team of six (including graphical support and senior marketing executives. One of the key, shorter term challenges would be to ensure that traditional marketing activities are fully integrated within a new web based proposition; ensuring that their vendor product roadmaps are translated into value add marketing activities for the Reseller, but ultimately all of the marketing strategies.
- Reporting directly to the MD, lead and manage the current Marketing Team
- Full P+L responsibility
- Manage and coordinate all marketing activities
- Initiate, develop & implement new marketing web content that is fully integrated within the daily sales team activity
- Work closely with our business/ product management teams to understand vendor roadmaps & the market opportunities. - Introduce & utilise new tools to improve customer management & customer retention - Define and establish process & metrics for downstream marketing activities to ensure effectiveness & ROI.
- Create & sustain customer value through service and branding. - Analyse customer research, current market conditions and competitor information ensuring this is fed back to the company's Management team - Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new & existing products
- Monitor, capture, & communicate key market trends, competitive moves, & changes in company's position or image (e.g. quality, market share) in the market.
- Manage the productivity of the marketing plan & relevant projects
- Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
- Liaise with external media and advertising agencies where appropriate
This is by no means a comprehensive list and you will able to show a strong marketing and B2B background. With an understanding of developing and maintaining marketing strategies and have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of energy and concentration in a fast-paced, results driven environment. You will be a strong candidate that is not afraid to take charge and push through new / innovative concepts.
Recent and relevant product and industry knowledge is a requirement and also a proven experience in a B2B environment
