Business Analyst

Job Description
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as project manager/BA/liaison between the internal Default IT and business end-users. Work with the business to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/change to technology applications. Work with the Technical Analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications. Work with operations team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted and helps develop a change management/training plan. Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.

You will be responsible to identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs. Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible. Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business and technology. Develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. Assist Quality Management team to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test plans. Provide audit support to ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed. Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation. Work with test team to develop system integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations

Qualifications
-Strong business analysis skills, i.e - workflow design, workflow documentation, application screen mock-up, application functionality documentation, workflow to application screen transition.
-Ability to draft and receive sign-off on functional requirements documents for applications and end user-reports
-Understanding of project management and the project life-cycle
-Understanding the business needs and processes of the client.
-Ability to jump into projects/initiatives mid-stream and ensure a successful solution/resolution.
-Ability to creatively and productively consult/confer with the business user, developer and management.
-Excellent critical system and user-assisted testing.
-Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
-Strong communication, training, moderating and presentation skills
-Ability to juggle multiple, high-priority, division-wide projects
-MS Excel, Visio, Project proficiency
-HP/Mercury Quality Center proficiency
-SQL data extract proficiency a plus (understanding of table, view, schema, database structures)
