Must Have Skills: * Minimum of 5 years experience developing web applications. 2+ years experience with .NET, C# and ASP.NET. 5+ years experience with ASP, HTML, VBScript, and JavaScript. 3+ years experience with SQL Server 2000 or 2005. Experience writing XML Web Services and SOAP. Familiar with Web 2.0 standards, XHTML and CSS. Experience with high availability, load balanced, web applications.

Description:

This developer position will design, develop and maintain web applications, web services and windows services. The developer will develop technical designs from business requirements, respond to bug reports, provide support during system outages, write application and data access code, test code and manage source control repositories, mentor other developers as required, investigate new technologies and provide strong customer service to internal customers. The individual will participate and conduct meetings to gather business requirements from users and business analysts, develop technical documentation addressing the business requirements provided by users and business analyst and assist in managing projects with various methodologies such as SCRUM. Primary activities will include writing applications using ASP.NET, C# and the .NET 3.5 Framework, writing web services as well as understanding and maintaining legacy internet applications using ASP 3.0 and VB 6. Use NUnit to build unit tests on .NET code. Develop stored procedures, views and functions for SQL 2005. Author change logs for QA to document features and bugs. Perform code reviews for other web application developers.

* Strong, positive, customer service focused attitude. Must be detail oriented and able to work under strict and tight deadlines. Health insurance industry experience a plus. Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
