Description:

The Product Management Director will have primary responsibility for managing a line of products ensuring they meet customers - -’ needs, are competitive with market alternatives and create value for the company. The Director will manage a matrixed team of experts from within the Business Unit and across corporate functions (i.e. Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Sales, etc.).

The Product Management Director will ensure products and services are evaluated, developed, managed and commercialized consistently with the business - -’s strategy. This individual is responsible for directing the product delivery team in developing, launching, marketing, selling, and managing the products within the Business Line. In addition, the Product Management Director is responsible for coordinating the overall planning process with the Senior Executive of the business, and the Product Development and Strategy teams.
Primary responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Strategy team to establish the overarching strategy for the business line
- Partner with the Senior Executive of the business and product delivery team to establish a clear, consistent and market-based product roadmap.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with the product delivery team including team members from Strategy, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, Operations, and third parties, as appropriate.
- Work with the Senior Executive of the business to define the appropriate investments in the product portfolio, given the business - -’s strategy.
- Lead a cross functional team to set pricing, analyze competitive products, and ensure timely delivery of product plans, roadmaps and go-to-market plans.
- Collect, analyze, maintain and distribute information about competing products.
- Develop the business case for investment in new opportunities, or enhancements justifying customer value
- Lead the development of the tactical sales, marketing and operations plans with the Marketing and Sales teams, business units and field offices
- Report the performance of the business line and provide presentations/updates to key stakeholders and senior management.

Job Requirements

- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Must be able to work through unstructured problems and drive to decisions in a complex business environment
- Proven ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams
- Experience managing customer expectations, working effectively in team environments, and adhering to self-established timelines
- Must possess comprehensive business skills and experience with hospital supply chain operations or procedural areas, and their respective technology and data management needs
- Experience writing business plans and presentation of plans to senior executives
- Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats
- Masters degree in business and/or healthcare or 7+ years of practical experience
