Description:

This position requires 5+ years SQL Server Development and DBA experience, and a proficiency in SSIS package development and troubleshooting. Requires SQL Server database management systems experience and hands-on experience with SQL Server 2005/2008. Requires a proficiency in T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Code Reviews, and Data Scripts. Strongly prefer experience with SSRS, OLAP, SSAS, Database Query Optimization, SQL Transactional and Merge Replication, and Visual Studio. Prefer experience with databases utilizing SAN-based storage management systems, clustering and other high-availability technologies. Will be responsible for creating, deploying, and supporting SSIS packages. Will be approximately 60% DB Development and 40% DBA. Will perform SQL Server database administration including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and capacity planning/monitoring. Will review and implement database-related changes following established change management and release management procedures. Will review database schema, objects and data scripts written by others and provide feedback. Will manage the creation and versioning of SQL-based code using approved source control tools. Will implement database security controls and maintain integrity of enterprise database systems.


Skills
- 5 yrs leading and developing a variety of MS SQL Server database concepts and best practices.
- 5 yrs of practical experience with SQL 2000/2005/2008 including 24x7, 365 Production support, performance tuning, daily database maintenance tasks, backup/restores, MS SQL snapshot and transactional replication, applying service pack and cumulative updates, etc.
- Hands on experience with building and administering MS SQL Server clusters on both Windows 2003 and 2008 environments administration.
- Practical experience migrating Oracle databases to MS SQL Server databases
- Experience in converting DTS to SSIS packages
- Heavy experience upgrading database servers from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005/2008
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Hands on experience with Oracle ERP Financials
- Experience in Oracle DB migrations, upgrades, performance tuning.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
