Must Have Skills: 5+ years of practical experience with SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008). 5+ years scripting, tuning, debugging, troubleshooting, and other advanced database administration concepts. Demonstrated expertise in production control and change management methodologies
Education: Some High School Coursework

Description:

Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.

Design and develop SSRS reports

Ensures overall health, reliability, performance, and capacity of databases, data marts, and data warehouse.
Expert knowledge of SQL Server administrative tools, including SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler, SQL Server Agent, SQL Server Surface Area Configuration, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Server Broker, and the bcp and sqlcmd utilities.
Extensive knowledge of software and architecture patterns and practices.
Work experience requiring monitoring and tuning of databases to provide a high availability of service.
Ability to plan, implement, and maintain backup and restore operations, replication, log shipping, database mirroring, and clustering.
Expert Transact-SQL skills and the ability to create complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions, views, and other database objects.
Expert understanding of relational database and BI structures, principles, practices, and theories, including OLTP systems, data warehouses, and Analysis Services cubes.
MDX Query fundamentals preferred.
