Description:

This is a position for a Systems Integration Engineer in the Integration Services (IS) organization focusing on Enriched Communications. Technologies supported include Messaging (MMS/SMS/WAP) and MIEP(including signaling/protocols for TCP/IP, SIP), WEB and Oracle based applications. This position will be specifically covering multimedia products and solutions in the Messaging domain (MMS, SMS, WAP). This is a position for a system integrator in the Integration Services (IS) organization. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: Software loading, configuration, integration, verification, and advanced troubleshooting of existing solutions on a customer site or in a lab environment using Ericsson products, 3rd party, or customized packages. Collecting and managing Customer Requirements, change Requests and providing solution input to proposals Providing ongoing customer support throughout implementation as well as driving new IS solutions development in order to meet the customer's expectations. Drive business with the customer by finding new convergence opportunities based on expanding existing solutions as well as creating new ones. Attend and participate in customer meetings for specific solutions and different areas. Assist solution architects in customer requirement gathering and analysis Skills, Experience, and Education: Mandatory skills: Understanding of datacom networks (switches/routers/firewalls/load balancers/proxies/IP addresses/how nodes connect and speak via TCP/IP) and the basics of configuring an IP address and routing. Strong knowledge of UNIX (Solaris, Linux) and Windows server environment Strong knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Radius) Strong knowledge of network management and provisioning (XML, SNMP, LDAP, SOAP). Good knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols required Installation and configuration of servers, routers, and switches highly desired. Security and Authentication experience also highly desired Has worked with and understands Wireshark or another TCP/IP protocol analyzer is a plus Strong Shell scripting 1-3 years of experience Bachelor of Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
