- Understand Verizon Wireless -’ Product Acceptance, Verizon Wireless Certification process, and technical acceptance process.
Summary and Scope:
- Provide technical support for the Verizon Wireless Account Manager
- Build a solid relationship with Verizon Vendor Management, Management and lab team and act as a technical liaison with Verizon wireless
- Manage all Technical Acceptance Submission of products at Verizon Wireless
- Act as gatekeeper of all documentation with the product submission process and technical acceptance process
- Testing and identifying major bugs prior to lab submission
- First article inspection and configuration testing confirmation
- Manage technical aspects of Launch of all Retail and Non-Branded products introduced into the Verizon Wireless Certification process
- Manage all VzW Requirements
- Publish VzW Requirements Quarterly or as needed / updated
- Hold meetings with Software and Hardware Engineering to determine if new requirements can be met and if not the actions to be taken
- Manage any Requirement action items that may occur with VzW
- Review and support all new software to ensure VzW requirements are being met
- Gather and present to Verizon a high-level technical summary ( -“product definition -”) of how the product works in order to generate interest.
- Preparation of detailed reports defining the product including a -“feature lockdown matrix -” which consists of technical details and protocol
- Work with Verizon personnel to perform lab testing (in a controlled environment) and field test product in order to prove the product meets regulatory and industry standards and will work on the Verizon network (e.g, is compatible with the Verizon GUI system, -“safer network -” specifications, etc.). Field testing often involves travel to test the products capacity to connect in various locations.
- Gather, organize and present data accumulated during lab and field testing.
- Address any questions or concerns Verizon might have with the technical acceptance results.
Qualifications:
- In depth knowledge of CDMA networks and effect of modem settings, acceptance test procedures (ATP -’s) and network integration.
- Strong technical background or windows based tools.
- Knowledge and practical use of QCOM tools, CAIT etc.
- Understand Verizon Wireless -’ Product Acceptance, and technical acceptance process.
Additional Responsibilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to perform customer visits, testing and problem resolution.
