General Manager Florida Region Railway Intermodal
Location: Miami, Fla.

Description:
Dynamic, global industry leader has an immediate need for a General Manager (GM) -– Florida Region Intermodal. The GM will lead the region -’s intermodal business unit driving business unit profitability. You will take total responsibility for directing and controlling loading activities and ensuring efficient utilization of facilities for cargo movement.

The GM develops and implements commercial strategy (markets, prices, customers, products), which will include delivering maximum service levels, identifying and capturing targeted customers and markets. The GM also manages asset utilization, business unit expenses. The GM will maximize unit profitability. You will have overall P&L accountability for the operation.

The GM will develop and implement the company -’s strategic vision for intermodal, will work with port officials to develop opportunities that advance service offerings and achieve industry leading results, and will establish constructive relationships with public officials that enhance business opportunities.

Requirements:
BS degree -…..MBA is preferred. You must have a background in service-business operations, marketing, sales and general management. You should have had full P&L responsibility of $100M business, or shared responsibility for a larger enterprise.
We prefer a candidate with in-depth knowledge of highway or intermodal transportation concepts, markets, operations, networks, equipment, maintenance, and practices. You should have documented Business development success and a history of successfully impact the bottom line.
