Vice President, Program Management Lead, Data Center Strategy
Held a key leadership role on the Data Center Strategy program, a firm-wide initiative to dramatically improve effectiveness and efficiency of the firm’s technology functions by consolidating data centers sites from 80 to 15. The program is ultimately projected to save the firm $200M, and as of April 2011 savings were well ahead of plan. Primary accomplishments included:
• Driving the migrations and optimization of ~ 8,000 app/server instances, for 3 Business Units including Enterprise Infrastructure, which represented 30% of program workload, the largest share of any BU, and involved managing 10 Teams comprised of ~ 70 people
• Planning, scheduling, executing and reporting on migrations involved championing and driving adoption of new tools and processes developed to facilitate and standardize the approach, and prompt consistency in migration-related and data center management activities
• Ensuring Business Unit requirements were met while ensuring the goals of the strategy were achieved, which involved devising creative solutions relative to IT architecture, provisioning and optimization opportunities
• Led the Server Right Sizing project, a 15 month project which significantly contributed to the optimization of the firm-wide server environment via virtualization, consolidation and capacity right-sizing, reducing net physical server counts by 1,000 servers, a 10% overall reduction


September 2007 – August 2008
Vice President, Program Management Lead, Large Complex Programs (LCPs)
Held a key role in designing and rolling out a new process for reviewing and assessing the health of LCPs across the firm. Accomplishments included:
• Conducting LCP Assessments, which included applying industry best practices to execute in-depth assessments of LCPs across the firm, and develop and implement recommendations to maximize success possibilities and minimize risk to the firm
• Driving project and program management best practices included working with numerous subject matter experts to select, implement and drive adoption of industry standard methodologies and tools across the technology organizations

February 2006 – September 2007
Vice President, Program Management Lead, Fidelity Technology Group
Held a key leadership role in Enterprise Infrastructure, driving the Global Workforce Strategy. Managing senior level direct staff accomplishments over this period included:
• Establishing the Global Operations Program, which encompassed staffing the team, developing the business model, opportunity assessment, execution of global migration projects, development and implementation of metrics

• Execution of migration projects included conducting consistent opportunity assessments across the groups to identify the appropriate technology functions to migrate offshore (India), development of plans and management of migration activities. The 5 year ROI for the India program was $50M
• Development of metrics, analysis and reporting involved defining the appropriate metrics to quantifiably measure success of migrations and post-migration productivity

Held a Lead program management role in Fidelity’s corporate risk organization. With a strong focus on technology, primary accomplishments included:
• Roll out of the Risk Management Awareness Program, which encompassed developing products, including newsletters and conferences, aimed at educating Risk Managers across Fidelity to assist them in best managing and mitigating risk to the firm
• Conducting risk assessments focusing on Fidelity’s fastest growing businesses to identify potential areas of exposure and ensure mitigation strategies were in place

Held a lead role in Fidelity’s primary internet development group. Managing large project teams and direct staff, primary accomplishments included:
