SELECTED PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Recruitment: My recruitment efforts grew a technology company from 50 to 300 Employees. In the construction industry, I have met the ongoing staffing need for skilled tradesman and unskilled workers through the cycles of new construction projects. In the healthcare industry, I acquired nursing and other patient care staff in a challenging labor market. I staffed locations in multiple states and the Caribbean. I developed and implemented formal hiring processes, directly recruited for all positions while eliminating placement fees, and implemented internal Job Posting procedures and an Employee Referral Bonus program.
HR Management: I implemented the HR Department for a growing technology company, Campus Management Corp. I brought an HR department into compliance with government regulations for a healthcare organization, Hospice & Homecare By The Sea, and received a commendation from the regulation surveyors. I have hired, trained, and managed HR staff. I developed workflows, improved processes, implemented technology, and managed all aspects of an HR department including Employee Relations, performance issues, and coaching line managers. Recently, I managed all aspects of HR for companies in southeast U.S., Virgin Islands, and Bahamas.
Technology: In the past 15+ years I have gained experience in using as well as implementing several HR and Payroll software applications including UltiPro, MRP, Advantage Payroll, Paychex, ADP Pay expert/HR eXpert, CoAdvantage Payroll/HR, HireBridge. I implemented a new HR database and on-line system to track and maintain compliance of personnel files to meet healthcare regulatory requirements. I launched the Company’s first Intranet Website: http://cmcportal/hr. I am proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Windows XP & 7, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and navigating the Internet.
Benefits Programs: At multiple organizations, I developed comprehensive Employee Benefits Programs that provide a competitive recruiting advantage and improve employee retention. I implemented a “Full-Flex” Benefits programs including national Health and Dental plans, EAP, Group Life/AD&D, Short and Long Term Disability, Supplemental insurance plans, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), and Tuition Reimbursement.
Training: From August 2001 to May 2004, I was an Instructor in the Continuing Education department at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, and taught the SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Learning System to HR professionals preparing for the PHR and SPHR Certification exams. Recently, I was responsible for all training programs for management and education for employees throughout the southeast U.S., Bahamas, Virgin Islands.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
• CoAdvantage - Payroll/HRMS and Benefits Administration Solution
o Most recently, I served as the client facing Project Manager with regards to the transition from ADP to CoAdvantage’s UltiPro platform. Tasks included but were not limited to weekly project status calls, review of cost center structure, earnings and deduction codes. I provided employee data from the ADP system inclusive of demographic data, direct deposit, earning, and deduction setup. I served as the primary client liaison for mapping data from the CoAdvantage UltiPro platform back to WR Nash’s Timberline system for tracking project costs. Additional tasks included review and submission of all functional reports for CoAdvantage to reproduce, use of the ad-hoc report writer Cognos 8 to write reports on our own, preparation and remittance of payroll data using Excel spreadsheets, and utilization of the UltiPro Web Portal to maintain employee data and HR related transactions. Project rollout also included PlanSource Benefits Solution for benefits administration and online Employee access/enrollment/changes.
• Sage Timberline – Enterprise and Project Management Software for the Construction Industry
o I was assigned the Project Leader role to deploy Accounting, Job Management, and Project Management modules within the organization. I established the time line and led a team of Employees through the process. I also coordinated training using our live system for all staff according to module. Once CoAdvantage was deployed, I coordinated the weekly transfer of data between the CoAdvantage Payroll system and Timberline Job Management and Accounting modules.
• ADP Pay eXpert and HR eXpert - Payroll and HRMS solutions
o Once I assessed various options and identified the appropriate solution, I managed the implementation which included set-up and configuration, data migration, system testing, data validation, staff training, and “Go Live.”
• UltiPro – Payroll and HRMS solutions
o I implemented new technology, UltiPro, which included set-up and configuration, data migration, system testing, data validation, staff training, and “Go Live.” I also set up an enhanced “tickler” system in UltiPro HR to track all expiring licenses, certifications, and CEU’s required for employees in a healthcare organization.
• HireBridge – Resume Tracking System
o I set up and deployed an online applicant and job posting system.
• Company Intranet
o I was a member of the Project Team to launch the Company’s first Intranet Website: http://cmcportal/hr. I provided and maintained the content for web pages related to HR, Payroll, Benefits, Careers, Employees, and Events.
