What Your Phone is Missing- Tip #3 Small Budget, Big Results Recruiting Series
Posted By: Jacob Conway Thanks for all of the great feedback regarding the tips Recruiting Via Text Messaging and Discounting Margins - Evil or Necessary?. It was exiting to hear about a few multi-million dollar firms implementing that text strategy and the tip was free instead of paying $99 bucks to learn it in a webinar. That text program was only for the USA; does anyone use a similar program for Europe, Australia, Canada, or other locations?
What Your Phone is Missing If you have money to waste you can always keep upgrading to the latest and greatest; but what if you have a small budget and need to maximize your current infrastructure? These tips are critical to my business and will save you hundreds, while giving you more flexibility. Vonage, Packet 8, Skype, and Google Voice I have been using Vonage for years but most of the phone solutions are pretty similar; here are some highlights but search around to see what solution is best for you. The best options to consider are Vonage, Packet 8, Skype, and Google Voice. If you have not used a VOIP phone solution before; it sounds like a scary name but there is really no difference than using your normal landline. Similar Features: 1. Visual Voicemail- sends you a text version of all voicemail 2. SimulRing- you can program to have 1 number ring on 5 or more phones 3. Multiple zip codes- need a local presence, just add a new number in that area-code 4. MP3 Voicemail- voicemail is emailed to you; listen from any computer/PDA 5. Soft phone- Use your computer as the phone; just need a headset 6. Not into a “Computer based phone”?- Vonage and Packet 8 use traditional phones, but offer extra features via their admin account online Basic
